Continuing the cultural approach of the previous two books in the Côte à côte series, in the third volume, Le français familier au quotidien, Dr. Bourgeacq contrasts the colloquial, colorful worlds of French and English. The book presents a large number of idioms in each language with their equivalents, as well as descriptions for most expressions. The exercises included also ensure student internalization of a language level frequently used by native speakers, but seldom presented systematically in traditional textbooks.
